The Mighty Maroon Bands are to be congratulated for their success in Branson, Missouri this past weekend. The Symphonic and Jazz Bands both earned Superior Ratings from all judges.
They also earned the Outstanding Band in Class 3A for Concert and Jazz Performance. The Jazz Band won the Overall Outstanding Performance award for the entire competition.
Several Brownwood High School students selected for special recognition for musical excellence:
For Symphonic Band: Paula Mattix, Shayla Biessener, Mercedes Cardenas, Megan Irwin, Chris Burnett, Cruz Alonzo, and Johnathan Cox.
For Jazz Band: Juan Hernandez, Mercedes Cardenas, Brock Allen, Johnathan Cox, Megan Irwin, Chris Burnett, and Natalie Mayo.
