Brownwood News – A Ballinger truck driver was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Runnels County Friday morning, April 3, at 9:30 am.
According to a preliminary crash report from the Department of Public Safety, Harold Dwain Horton, 51 of Ballinger, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Horton was driving a 2007 Kenworth Truck towing a trailer 7.5 miles south of Ballinger on U.S. Highway 83. The truck was going north when it veered partially off the east side of the road. The driver over corrected to the left, went into a side skid across the highway and rolled over in the west ditch. Horton was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The crash is under investigation.
