Brownwood News – A Baird man was killed in a motorcycle accident after striking a hog in the highway.
According to the preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Grabiel O. Cerda, 49 of Baird, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cerda was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was traveling toward the South, 2.3 miles south of Baird on U.S. Highway 283 in Callahan County. The motorcycle struck a hog, laid over onto its right side and came to rest in the roadway. The driver was not wearing a helmet, the report states.
The wreck happened at 11:17 pm Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
