A Funeral Mass service for Bacilio Vasquez, 92, of Early, will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 4, at St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Church with Fr. Francis Njoku officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, March 3, at Netherton Funeral Home.
Mr. Vasquez passed away on Friday, March 01, 2013, at his home in Early.
Bacilio F. Vasquez was born on March 14, 1920, in Sabinas, Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Tranquiuno Vasquez and Evarista Flores Vasquez. He was a rancher in Brown County.
Mr. Vasquez is survived by his daughters, Maria Juarez and husband, Clemente of Pierce, Colorado, Concepcion Rodriquez and husband, Jaime of Bracketville, Texas, Carmen Gaona and husband Adolfo of Donna, Texas, Juanita Gonzalez and husband Juan, Maria G. Salazar and husband Paul, all of Brownwood; his sons, Isabel Vasquez and wife, Juanita of Pierce, Colorado, Juan Manuel Vasquez of Keenesburg, Colorado, Jose A. Vasquez and wife Rosemary of Round Rock, Texas and Miguel Vasquez and wife Adela of Brownwood. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Procopio Carreon of Villa Union, Coah, Mexico and daughter-in-law, Dora Vasquez of Brownwood, 43 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda Vasquez; daughter, Bacilia Carrion and son, Alfredo Vasquez.
