Brownwood News – The Brownwood Art Association Photography Group will host a fine art photography exhibit entitled “Anything Goes” on Thursday, October 5th, at the Art Center, located at 215 Fisk Avenue in downtown Brownwood.
The public is invited to attend this First Thursday event. Doors will open at 5 p.m. There is no cost to attend the exhibit opening.
Catering will be provided by Common Grounds Coffee House, and the Spirit of Texas Winery in Early will provide beverages to enjoy during the reception. Howard Payne University’s Abe Cooper will perform music.
74 pieces of art from 12 different photographers have been submitted to the ‘members only’ show.
Sponsors for this event include: Spirit of Texas Winery, Citizen’s National Bank, John and Lucy Harkey, Exxon Mobile, ASAP Creative Arts, Brownwood Art Association, Brownwood News, KXYL/KBWD, Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, and BAA Photo Group Members.
The “Anything Goes” Photography Exhibit will be on display at the Art Center October 6th-27th.
This is the sixth annual members only photography exhibit for the group. Each year has seen a variety of themes, but this exhibit is bucking the trend.
“We wanted to let the photographers submit anything they wanted to, without being restricted by a theme this year,” said Fred Spencer with the Photography Group.
The Brownwood Art Association Photography Group is open to anyone in the community who has an interest in photography, no equipment required. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. There is no cost to join the group.
