On December 9th, from 1:00-2:00pm, Author David Sargent, Jr. will speak to the Woodland Heights elementary student body about the importance of reading and writing.
The program helps in developing a better understanding of achievement and pride that comes with success. David and his wife Pat live in Arkansas and have written over 400 books.
Some of their book series include: Saddle Up, stories about horses; Animal Pride, a series about a variety of animals; Feather Tales, stories about birds; and Learn To Read, books containing sight words.
Mr. Sargent will be accompanied by some of his furry friends whose experiences inspired him to become an author.
Parents are encouraged to attend.
