Audie B. Crosby, 96, of Early passed from this life on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Audie Bob Merritt was born March 5, 1922 in Coleman County to James Ernest and Nettie Myrtle (Irby) Merritt. She married George W. Crosby on September 16, 1984 in Lubbock and had resided in the Brown County community since 1997.
Those left behind to cherish her memories include her children, Ed and Joy Carter of Abilene and Tona Adams of Early; grandchildren, Craig and Anissa Adams of Florence, Scott and Tressa Adams of Lubbock and Lance and Virginia Carter of Houston; and great grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Adams, Karli and Keeli Adams, and Isabella and Hunter Carter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Crosby; brothers, Wayne Merritt, Bill Merritt, and Loy Merritt; and sister, Faye Swearengin.
The family would like to thank Dr. Amy Tindol, Solaris Hospice and all staff at Oakridge Manor for their loving care.
