Services for Athene M. (Lewis) Annas, 90 of Canyon Lake, Texas will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday January 6, 2014, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Ave. with Pastor Tim Boeglin officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday at Davis-Morris.
Mrs. Annas died Wednesday morning, January 1st of medical complications. She was born on April 7, 1923, in Winchell, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Rufus “Andy” Annas of Canyon Lake; son, James R. Rodgers of Edgewood, New Mexico; daughters, Rita J. Ball of Canyon Lake, Texas, Valerie A. Cogdill of New Braunfels, Texas and eight grandchildren.
Athene was preceded in death by her first husband, 1st Lt. Kenneth C. Rodgers who left this life in 1954 due to complications from a wound he received while faithfully serving his country in Korea.
