The Brownwood Art Association is finishing up their Phase II renovation project at the Art Center located at 215 Fisk Street, and those who helped make it possible will get the first look at the refurbished building.
An invitation-only preview party has been planned for Brownwood Art Association members and donors to view the Phase II renovation of the Art Center gallery. The private event is Saturday, September 10, 1:30pm – 3:00pm. Members and donors have been actively raising funds for many months, and association members said that they are eager for all donors to view the gallery.
Subsequent to renovation of the gallery, the BAA will continue fundraising for restoration of the kitchen, work room, and other rooms.
The Brownwood Reunion Celebration photo contest will be the first exhibit shown in the newly renovated Brownwood Art Center, and will be first chance the public will get to see the beautiful renovations.
Photographs for the exhibit will be accepted as entry into the contest at the art center at the following days and times:
Sunday, September 11 – 1-4pm
Tuesday, September 13 – 6-8pm
Wednesday, September 14 – 1-4pm
The photographs will be on exhibit during the Brownwood Reunion Celebration on September 16-18. (Friday, Sept. 16 – 5-7pm; Sat., Sept. 17 – Noon – 5pm; and Sunday, Sept. 18 – 1-4pm).
The contest will be judged by professional photographer Roger Levesque.
Entry forms can be picked up at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce located at 600 E. Depot St.
