The 10th Annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration is almost here, and organizers threw a volunteer rally on Wednesday at the Depot to kick things off.
Volunteers flocked to the Depot Civic & Cultural Center for the rally to pick up their new Reunion t-shirts & get instructions for their duties during the event. Organizers also had refreshments, music and a commemorative photo slideshow of past Reunion Celebrations.
Merchandise was also available for purchase at the rally including hats, shirts, and accessories available for purchase. These items will also be for sale during the Reunion.
Rowonna McNeely, Reunion volunteer coordinator, said that close to 1500 volunteers help make the event possible each year in addition to organizers. With this year’s circus theme, there were plenty of clown noses and peanuts to go around helping get the volunteers into the spirit of this year’s celebration.
The Brownwood Reunion Celebration is an annual event in Brownwood that draws tens of thousands of visitors to the area to enjoy shows, contests, kid’s activities, live music, parades, and more. The 10th Annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration will be held Sept. 17-19 in Brownwood, featuring headline concerts from Kevin Fowler, Bart Crow Band, Johnny Cooper, and Crawfish. Wristbands that include access to all three nights of concerts will be on sale until noon on Thursday for the advance price of $10. They will be available at the concert gate during the Reunion for $20.
