Brownwood News – The ARK (Advocacy, Respect, Kindness) will be hosting a “Knock Domestic Violence Out of the Park” softball tournament on June 17th, at 8 a.m., at the Burt V. Massey II Sports Complex in Brownwood. Registration is open May 5th through June 13th, with a limited number of spots available. The tournament will be co-ed, and players ages 16 and up are welcome to participate.

The cost is $200 to register a team, about $20 per player. All proceeds will go towards the ARK Domestic Violence Shelter.

The charity co-ed softball tournament will use USSSA Rules. Prizes will be awarded, including: Winning Team will receive 12 full custom jerseys, Runner Up will receive 12 t-shirts, and the winner of the Home Run Derby will receive a bat.

Each team will need to pay $10 for umpire fees, the winning team will be refunded their $10. Sponsorships for the tournament are available with three levels:

 Gold Level- $500

  • Name/Logo on official shirt
  • Name/Logo on sponsorship board
  • Banner Displayed (furnished by sponsor)
  • Two official shirts

Silver Level- $250 

  • Name/Logo on official shirt
  • Name/Logo on sponsorship board
  • One official shirt

Bronze Level-$100

  • Name on the official shirt (single line)
  • Name on sponsorship board
