TexasBank is pleased to announce that over $88,000 has been distributed to area high schools and colleges this year through the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation.

“TexasBank is proud to be affiliated with such a significant investment in furthering the education of the youth in the markets in which we serve,” said Greg Dodds, President and CEO of TexasBank. “Commitment to the education of our future leaders is of great importance to our Board and Ownership as evidenced in the over $425,000 in local scholarships given by the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation over the past seven years.”

High Schools receiving scholarships this year included:  Brownwood, Early, Bangs, Blanket, Brookesmith, May, Zephyr, Comanche, Gustine, Sidney, and Goldthwaite.

In addition, Texas State Technical College in Brownwood received scholarship monies of $5,000, while Howard Payne University and Tarleton State University also received $25,000 each. These scholarships are to be used toward assisting students attending these universities that are from the immediate trade areas of TexasBank.
