The Corinne T. Smith Animal Center will be having its annual Canine Costume Contest this Saturday, October 26th. The contest will be held on the grounds of the Animal Center, and will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.
In years past, CTSAC has been visited by canine bumble bees and butterflies, hot dogs and pumpkins, and even a canine Animal Control Officer and Rosie the Riveter, to name a few.
“It’s always great fun, so we hope everyone will dress up their dogs and come out to join us,” stated Freda Day, CTSAC Administrative Manager.
Prizes will be given for the Most Beautiful Costume, the Scariest Costume, Canine/Owner Look-alike, and Most Creative Costume. All dogs entered in the contest will receive a free identification tag for their collars.
Entry fee is only $10 per dog. All dogs at the event must be wearing a current rabies tag and be leashed at all times.
