A graveside funeral service for Annora Reed Carlton, age 78, of Brownwood, was held Saturday in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Annora passed from this life on July 2, 2018 in Brownwood.
Annora Reed was born on December 20, 1939 in Eden to Marion Francis and Winnie Eloise (McGuffin) Reed. She graduated from Brownwood High School in 1959. Annora married Robert E. Carlton on October 24, 1960 in Brownwood.
Annora worked as a seamstress for Sidran Sewing Factory, milked cows on a dairy, worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Brownwood Care Center and as a caregiver in home health for many years. She was a longtime resident of Brownwood. Annora was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was a member of the Relief Society and enjoyed doing service work and loved helping others. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, crotchet and other crafts. She was a beautiful, sweet and loving spirit, who will be greatly missed.
Annora is survived by her children, Robert Lynn Carlton and wife Tina and a daughter, Anita Kay Ferrer; eight grandchildren, Marcia K. Sharon and husband Danion, Christina Lee Tharp and husband Justin, Joshua Nathaniel Dillard, Chelsie Delise Gist and husband Jared, Trenton Carleton, Richard Gray and wife Cheyenne, Jacob Carleton and Chastity Garrison and husband Wade and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marion Albert Reed and wife Sharon, sister-in-law, Carolyn Reed and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, a son, Jessie Carleton, a brother, Ardith Lynn Reed, a sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Jim Bryson.
