Graveside services for Anne Stewart, age 75, of Brownwood will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Energy Cemetery in Comanche County. Burial will follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations. Mrs. Stewart passed away at her home September 30, 2013.
Velia Anne Hernandez was born July 3, 1938 in Ozona, Texas to Cayetano and Antonia (Longoria) Hernandez. Anne served in the Women’s Army Corp. and later worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Temple. She married Robert Bayne Stewart on February 2, 1992 in Abilene. He preceded her in death in October, 2010.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include sister, Judy Segura and husband, Mario of Brownwood; brother, Cayetano Hernandez and wife Mary Ann of Itasca; sister-in-law Linda Dubose and husband, John; nieces and nephews, Kirstie Segura, Joe Gonzalez, Lexie Gonzalez, Andrew Segura, Daniel Segura, Amy Segura, Timothy Hernandez, Shawn and Donielle Hernandez; great nieces and nephews, Brillie, Mackenzie, Matthew Shawn and Casey Nicole; and her beloved dog Rosie Stewart.In addition to her parents and husband, Anne is preceded in death by her sister, Edna Hernandez.
