Anna Louise Sessions, 68, of Brownwood, passed away Wednesday March 6, 2013, at a Comanche nursing facility. Graveside services, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday March 7, 2013 at the Sipe Springs Cemetery in Comanche County. Anna was born April 30, 1944, in La Junta, Colorado, to Gilbert Marvin and Donna Faye (VanGalder) Stonebarger. The family moved to California when Anna was a young child and she graduated Glendora High School in California. She married and lived much of her life in San Diego where she was a home maker. During several vacations with her husband David to Texas in the late seventies, Anna liked what she saw and decided to move. Brownwood was the lucky spot and there she moved in 1980. She attended church at First Christian Church in Brownwood. She worked for Montgomery Wards and then JC Penny where she retired in 2002. In the middle of her time with JC Penney she had a boutique located downtown Brownwood named R Closet. She enjoyed drawing and painting pictures for her friends and painting murals for churches and individuals.

Anna is survived by daughter, Michelle Landers; granddaughters, Meaghan and Peter Wiebe and Holly Landers; sister, Sue Smith; and former husband, David Sessions. She was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Donna Stonebarger.
