Graveside Services for Anita Hinesly Witherspoon, age 71, of Mineola, Texas formerly of Brownwood will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home. Mrs. Witherspoon passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at her residence in Mineola.
Mary Anita was born on August 25, 1944 in Brady, Texas to Marvin Henry and Alsa Viola Maxwell Hinesly. She was a 1963 graduate of Brownwood High School and had worked in home health and nursing for many years. Anita had resided in Mineola the past 11 years moving there from Denton County.
Survivors include her husband David Witherspoon; two sons Darrell Newsom and Leslie Witherspoon and wife Pat; daughter Carla Newsom; brother Dale Glenn Hinesly and wife Sandra; sister Bobby Amonett; seven grandchildren, nine grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde Gaston Newsom, brother Thomas Daniel Hinesly and three sisters Cleta Knight, Verna Sanders and Ruth Cooper.
Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
