Brownwood News – Local neurologist Rance Boren, MD will present a Community Education Program with an overview of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases, discussing the current understanding of both disorders, covering both the symptoms and treatment options for each disease. It will be held on Wednesday, May 8 at 2pm in the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Meeting Room on the second Floor of the Outpatient Center West Entrance (off Streckert Drive.)
Both of these diseases are relatively common and are expected to become even more important as the population ages. There is currently no cure for either disorder, but ongoing research continues to give reason to be optimistic about the future.
