dunn0001Graveside services for Alma “Meemaw”  Dunn, age 97, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche, Texas with Rev. Steven Schulte officiating.  The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early.  Mrs. Dunn passed away Friday, June 01, 2012 in Brownwood.

Iva Alma Dunn was born on February 21, 1915 in Tahoka, Texas to Grover and Iva Alma Gardner Grider the oldest of twelve siblings.  In her early years she worked picking cotton to help support her family.  She retired from the Victor Torch Company in 1963 and in her later years worked in home health caring for the elderly.  Mrs. Dunn moved to this area 1978 where she lived at the Kirkland Docks at Lake Brownwood for many years.

Sons:               Charlie Hays and wife Bernadette of Early, Texas

Glenn Hays and wife Ethelyn of Jupiter, Florida

Sister:              Ruth Pelton of Tahoka, Texas

13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jerschel Hays, Odas Hays, Howard Dunn and by 10 siblings.
