Allen Neil Stewart, age 54 passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was born January 31, 1964 to Sammie Stewart and Bettye (Funderburg) Stewart in El Paso, Texas. Allen grew up at Sonora, Texas and graduated from Sonora High School where he participated in all high school sports and was a proud Sonora Bronco. He attended San Angelo State University.
Allen followed his father and became a U.S. Border Patrol Agent where he served for nineteen Years and seven months. Allen married Maria Costillo of Bracketville, Texas and they were the parents of two wonderful children; Sammie Stewart II and Bianca Nicole Stewart. Sammie is presently serving in the U.S. Army and is stationed near Washington, D.C. and is a member of the Army’s Personal Protection Service. Bianca lives in Houston, Texas and is with United Airlines. Allen was very proud of his children.
Allen is survived by his father Sammie Stewart and his wife Mary Lou of Blanket, Texas; one brother Gregory Stewart and wife Andria of Blanket, Texas; his children Sammie and Biance; two grandchildren Sammie Stewart III and Caroline Ann Stewart of Fort Belvoir, Virginia and a niece Kayla Stewart and nephew Colton Stewart.
A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 1st at the Rock Church Cemetery, Blanket, Texas.
