Allan B. Hughes, age 64, of Brownwood formerly of Comanche passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at a local nursing home.
Visitation for Allan will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016, from 2-4 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Allan was born to Albert Burton and Barbara Audene (Shupp) Hughes on August 28, 1951, in Midland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Burton Hughes.
He was a carpenter for many years. He loved working with his hands, painting, wood work, and gardening. Allan was a Baptist.Allan is survived by his mother, Audene Hughes of Comanche; sisters, Barbara Stone and husband Tom of Brownwood, Geraldine DeAnda and husband Joe of Comanche; daughters, Shelley Trowbridge of Brownwood, and Melissa Garcia and husband Johnny of Coleman; son, John Paul Hughes of Conroe; grandchildren, Questah Chandler, Kristiea? Suniga, Wylee Ellis, Bailey Powell, and Korbyn Powell; great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Chavez and Kaleb Suniga. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
