heckenlivelyAlice Fultz Heckenlively, age 79, of Lake Brownwood went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2014 with her family by her side.

Funeral Services for Alice will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at North Lake Community Church with Pastor Ron Keener officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Houston Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. Visitation for the family will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Alice was born on July 4, 1934 to Adderson and Winona (Posey) Stinnett in Stratford, OK. The family moved to west Texas during her childhood years, she attended O’Donnell High School. She married her high school sweetheart, the late, Theo Fultz on September 29, 1950 and they had two children. She worked alongside Theo selling Real Estate in the Houston area. After Theo’s passing in 1991, she married lifelong friend, Wesley Heckenlively of Kent, WA in 1992. They shortly moved and made Lake Brownwood their home. She was an active member and Sunday school teacher at North Lake Community Church. Alice loved cooking and making pies, fishing, Bluegrass, and family gatherings. She was greatly loved and appreciated in the community and will be truly missed.

Alice is survived by her husband of 21 years, Wesley Heckenlively of Lake Brownwood; daughter, Connie Kopnicky and husband Donald of Huntsville; son, Jimmy Fultz and wife Debbie of Lake Brownwood; step-children, Debbie, Mary, Lloyd, and Lori; eight grandsons and nine great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; sister, Charlene McKenzie of Loop; brother, Gus Stinnett and wife Sherry of Willis; sister-in-laws, Virginia Fultz Thompson, Cleo Fultz Brownlow, Rosie Bagley, and Mary Coleman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Adderson and Winona Stinnett; late husband of 41 years, Theo Fultz; son-in-law, Clayton Sanford; and brother-in-law, Bill McKenzie.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to North Lake Community Church (expansion for Sunday school room in memory of Alice Heckenlively), 3131 Harbor Dr. May, Texas 76857.
