Funeral Services for Alfredo Fuentes Vasquez, age 63, of Brownwood will be held Monday, December 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood with Father Francis Njoku officiating. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Viewing will be available for family and friends throughout Saturday and Sunday morning to evening. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, with recitation of The Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. He passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Brownwood, Texas. Alfredo was born on January 12, 1949, in Coahuila, Mexico to Bacilio and Matilda (Fuentes) Vasquez.
Alfredo married Dora (Gomez) Vasquez on December 16, 1968, in Brownwood, Texas. They were married for 44 years. He was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was very passionate about living LIFE to the fullest. He worked as owner of Fence Master, building fences for ranches in Brown County and surrounding areas. Alfredo loved all his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was also very optimistic about the future. In his spare time he enjoyed working outdoors where he was most free.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Vasquez of Brownwood; his father, Bacilio Vasquez of Brownwood; a daughter, Veronica Jane Vasquez Hermosillo and husband Enrique of Brownwood; a son, Alfredo Lewis Vasquez and wife Tamara of Brady; a daughter, Rebecca Ann Vasquez Barrow and husband Billy Wayne of Brownwood; 4 granddaughters, Caitlin Rae Hermosillo, Deseray Christean Hermosillo, Jasmyn Marie Vasquez, Dora Isabel Vasquez; 1 grandson, Miguel Vasquez; 1 great-grandson, Enrique Adriano Hermosillo; 4 brothers, Isabel Vasquez, Manuel Vasquez, Jose Vasquez, Miguel Vasquez; 4 sisters, Regujia Juarez, Conception Rodriguez, Juanita Gonzales, Maria Guadalupe Salazar, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister; Bacilia Carreon, and his mother, Matilda Vasquez.
