Alfred Garrett, age 91, of Richland Springs passed away September 4, 2014 at a local nursing home.
Funeral Services for Alfred will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Richland Springs with Bro. Joe Densman officiating, burial will follow at Richland Springs Cemetery. No set visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba.
Alfred was born on August 6, 1923 to Anson and Macie (Eckert) Garrett in San Saba County. He served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. Alfred was the owner of Texaco Service Station in Richland Springs for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland Springs.
He is survived by his sister, Jimmie Korenek of Richland Springs; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Wanda Garrett of San Saba; other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joe Bob Garrett.
