Alda Alice Deaver, 86, of Brownwood, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday March 20, 2018.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 24, 2018, at Brownwood Evangelism Center with Pastor Ken Colegrove officiating and burial will follow at Winchell Cemetery. The family will greet friends 6:00  –  8:00 p.m. Friday, March 23rd at the funeral home.

Alda Alice Cown was born November 28, 1931 to Sterling and Virgie Cowan in Beeville, Texas. She went to school at Milburn and Rochelle, Texas. She was the first girl born to her parents. She married Albert Deaver on June 10, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1999. Alda was an active member of the Brownwood Evangelism Center for 67 year and taught Sunday school for many years. She was baptized in Jesus name on July 15, 1951 and received the Holy Ghost on November 23, 1951 when Bro. Foxie Williams was the pastor. Church was her life.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Albert Deaver, parents Sterling and Virgie Cowan, and five brothers – Preston, Raymond, Herman, Odell, and Truman Cowan. She is survived by two sisters – June Gresham and Tressa Finnigan, both of Brownwood, numerous nieces and nephews, and her church family.
