Brownwood Regional Airport is hosting a fly-in lunch BBQ on March 20th.
“The purpose of a fly-in is to help promote our airport to the community and the flying public,” said Airport Manager Sharlette Bain.
The airport hosts at least 3 fly-in events per year and everyone is welcome to attend for fun, food, and some flying. Brisket, sausage, potato salad, beans, tea and dessert are all on the menu for the lunch and food will be served from 11am – 1pm (or until food runs out) on Saturday March 20th at the airport. The airport asks for a $5 per plate donation to be made to help cover the cost of food for the event.“The fly-in is open to the public,” Bain said. “Anyone can fly or drive in.”
