Brownwood News – The Brown County Commissioners will meet, at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, in the Brown County Courthouse in Brownwood to discuss a number of items posted on the agenda.

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regularly scheduled meeting of the above named Court shall be held at 9:00 a.m. on May 6, 2019, in the COMMISSIONERS’ COURTROOM, at the Brown County Courthouse, 200 South Broadway St., Brownwood Texas, 76801 and shall continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order

2. Prayer

3. Citizen Comments {Any resident of Brown County may speak before the court on any agenda item. Any topic to be addressed that is not on the agenda may be heard with the approval of a majority of the Court present. No presentation shall last longer than five minutes. All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on October 6, 2014. The court members may not respond to any speaker making a citizen comment. [Court members may not comment, ask or answer questions until an agenda item is introduced for consideration below.] Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)

4. Consideration and approval of minutes of April 29th, 2019.

5. Consideration and Approval of Payment of any bills needed ·

6. Consideration and Approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:

A. Dr. Paul Lilly, County Judge – Proclamation declaring May 19-25th EMS Week;

B. Mr. Gary Worley, Commissioner Pct. 1….B,. udgeting new revenue from TrueCore lease;

C. Mr. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;

D. Matt Krischke, Brown County Information Technology- Consideration and possible approval of enrolling Brown County in WarrantNow;

E. Jennifer Robison, County Auditor- Certification of new revenue from TrueCore lease

F. Jennifer Robison, County Auditor- Presentation of 2018 Year End Statements

G. Vance Hill, Brown County Sheriff- Consideration and possible approval of employee changes;

H. Vance Hill, Brown County Sheriff- Presentation of jail report;

I. Vance Hill, Brown County Sheriff-Authorization to accept donations;

J. Bart Johnson, Brown County Insurance Agent of Record – Update on Brown County health insurance coverage;

K. Jana Brown, Painter & Johnson Financial and Courtney Parrott, County Extension Service – Brown County Wellness program update.

7. Adjournment

Agenda items may be considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth above. The Brown County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any above items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
