Brownwood News – The Brown County Commissioners will meet, at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 3rd, 2019, in the Brown County Courthouse in Brownwood to discuss a number of items posted on the agenda.

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regularly scheduled meeting of the above named Court shall be held at 9:00 a.m. on June 3, 2019, in the COMMISSIONERS’ COURTROOM, at the Brown County Courthouse, 200 South Broadway St., Brownwood Texas, 76801 and shall continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order

2. Prayer

3. Citizen Comments – (Any resident of Brown County may speak before the court on any agenda item. Any topic to be addressed that is not on the agenda may be heard with the approval of a majority of the Court present. No presentation shall last longer than five minutes. All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on October 6, 2014. The court members may not respond to any speaker making a citizen comment. [Court members may not comment, ask or answer questions until an agenda item is introduced for consideration below.] Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)

4. Consideration and approval of minutes of May 20th, 2019.

5. Consideration and Approval of Payment of any bills needed

6. Update from Don King, County Surveyor – Discussion of proposed amendments of subdivision rules and regulations to comply with Veteran Land Board Regulations.

7. Consideration and Approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:

A. Mr. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;

B. Mr. Wayne Shaw, Commissioner Pct. 3- Consideration and possible approval of equipment trade;

C. Michael Murray, District Attorney — Consideration and possible approval of employee changes;

D. Vance Hill, Brown County Sheriff- Consideration and possible approval of employee changes;

E. Vance Hill, Brown County Sheriff~ Presentation of jail report;

8. Adjournment

Agenda items may be considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth above. The Brown County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any above items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
