Funeral services for Ada Funderburg, 88, of Zephyr, Texas will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Heartland Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Ivy officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Funderburg passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Ada Elizabeth Funderburg was born on May 27, 1925 in Seymour, Texas to Sherman and Edna Jones Risinger. On August 31, 1944 she was married to Allen Leonard Funderburg. She was a member of the Avenue D Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by four children Deborah Smith of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Allen Funder burg and wife Deborah of Chaska, Minnesota, David Funder burg of Brownwood, Texas, Susan Kern and husband James of Zephyr, Texas; sister Faye Gregory of Sugarland, Texas; brother Ernest Risinger and wife Gladys of Amarillo, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Clarence and Donald Risinger; two sisters Lois Reynolds and Maude Barrier.Friends are invited to sign the guestbook at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
