The juvenile who was arrested in March and is accused of robbing the Citibank branch in Brownwood in January has been certified to stand trial as an adult.
On June 15, 2010 the County Court of Brown County, Texas certified the suspect as an adult. The subject is currently being held in the Brown County Jail.
According to Brownwood Police Sgt. Troy Carroll, evidence was obtained in the investigation that led to the directive to apprehend the juvenile in reference to the January 7, 2010 robbery. Carroll stated, “The investigation is continuing and it is the belief of the Brownwood Police Department that more arrests regarding the Citibank robbery will be made in the future.”
The suspect is identified as a 15-year-old from Arlington and is also charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
