Emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle accident on Crockett Drive near the intersection of Hwy 377S which sent at least one person to the hospital Wednesday morning.
Approximately 7:25am, a passenger car and small pickup truck were involved in the collision. The scene was spread across two lanes of traffic, which narrowed Crockett Drive down to one lane causing a traffic slowdown in the area. Traffic from the highway was diverted through Doc’s Drugstore parking lot.
The passenger car received heavy front-end damage and the pickup slid off the road as a result of the collision. At least one person was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Roads were wet because of a morning shower, but it is unknown if weather conditions contributed to the accident.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
