Brownwood News – The following calls were responded to in recent days by the Brownwood Police Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

BROWNWOOD POLICE BLOTTER

On December 2, 2019 at approximately 11:22 hours Officers with Brownwood PD responded to a Domestic Disturbance around the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin. A report was generated in reference to this call.

While on patrol on December 2, 2019, at approximately 14:40 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Campa about a theft. Officers met with witnesses and obtained evidence at the scene. Officers made contact with the victim who wished to pursue criminal charges against the suspects for Mail Theft. A report was made.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at approximately 06:21 hours, Officer Weaver was dispatched to the 1600 block of Ave. B in reference to a burglary of a vehicle.  Officer Weaver arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

On December 3, 2019 at approximately 05:55 hours officers with Brownwood PD were dispatched around the 400 block of W. Adams St. A report was generated in reference to this call of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On December 3, 2019 at approximately 13:43 hours Officers with Brownwood PD responded to a Domestic Disturbance around the 500 block of Main St. A report was generated in reference to this call.

On Monday, December 2, 2019, at approximately 20:37, Officer Donahoo spoke with a victim via telephone regarding a theft that had previously occurred in the 2400 block of Monterrey Street. A report was taken.

On Monday December 2, 2019 at approximately 17:45 hours officers received a call regarding criminal mischief. When officers arrived it was discovered the damage to the vehicle was done approximately one month prior to receiving a call. Information was gathered from the reporting party and a report was generated.

On December 2, 2019 at approximately 08:30 hours Officers with Brownwood PD responded to a business at the 1300 block of Austin Ave in reference to a fraud call. A report was generated for forgery of government money.

BROWN COUNTY SHERIFF’S BLOTTER

On December 2, at approximately 15:31 hours, Corporal Hopson responded to West Commerce for a warrant service.  He contacted a man who was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant and, additionally, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 <1 gram.  He was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.  The controlled substance was not weighed, due to there only being trace amounts.

On Monday, December 2, 2019, at 10:40 hours, Deputy J. Bastardo was dispatched to S.F. Austin Avenue, at a business.  This was in regards to Burglary of a Vehicle.  Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a woman who said items had been taken from two work trucks.  A report was taken.
