Brownwood News – The following calls for service were included on the Offense and Incident reports released by the Brownwood Police Department on Monday and Tuesday, September 9th and 10th.
On Monday September 9, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Clement for a report of a hit and run. Information was gathered from the scene and a report was generated.
On September 9, 2019, at 2135 hours, a Brownwood PD Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Bluffview in reference to a domestic disturbance. A report was generated for Offensive Touch – Family Member.
On 9/4/2019 at approximately 0000 hours, Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Commerce. Police made an arrest for DWI and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Officers of Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to the 400 Block of East Commerce Street to investigate a Hit and Run Accident. Information was gathered for an accident report and investigation of Hit and Run.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at approximately 0406 hours, officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 1700 block of Avenue B regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest were made.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at approximately 1509 hours, an officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Vine St in reference to public lewdness. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the involved parties. An investigation was conducted and an arrest was made. A report has been generated.
On Friday September 6th, 2019 at approximately 0700 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Irma Street in reference to a Theft of Property. A report was generated for this incident.
On 9-6-19 at approximately 1503 hrs, a Brownwood Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1800 Blk of Broadmoor Dr. During the stop, a small quantity of marijuana was located in the vehicle. Two men were placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana <20Z in a drug free zone. Both subjects were transported to the Brown Co Jail.
On September 6th, 2019 at approximately 1500 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a request for a phone call in reference to harassment.
On 09/06/2019, Brownwood PD spoke on the phone with a male in regards to his medication being taken from his residence.
On September 6, 2019 at approximately 17:00 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 400 block of West Commerce in reference to a Theft of Property. One citation issued.
On Friday, September 6, 2019, the Brownwood Police Department served a warrant on a woman in the 700 block of W Commerce Street. During the encounter, a small amount of methamphetamine and a prescription pill were recovered. The woman was also arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
On 9/6/2019 at approximately 1900 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Holcomb Street for a theft call. Police made a report for burglary of a habitation.
On Friday, September 6, 2019 at approximately 2342 hours, three officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood address in the 1000 block of Cordell Street regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest report were completed.
On Friday, September 6, 2019 at approximately 1956 hours, two officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood business in the 400 block of West Commerce regarding an individual who was trespassing. Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest were completed.
On 9/7/2019 at 0900 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 Blk. of Waco St. in reference to a stolen vehicle. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.
On 9/7/2019 at approximately 2000 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane for a burglary of a habitation call.
Saturday Sept. 9, 2019 at approximately 21: 11 Hrs, BWPD Officers were dispatched to the area of W. Austin Ave. and Melwood St. in reference to a male subject walking in the roadway and seemed intoxicated. Further information was that the male subject was stumbling in the roadway. The reporting person was a passerby concerned for the subject’s safety. The subject was located and found to be intoxicated in a public place and a danger to himself. He was arrested and placed in jail at BCSO.
On 9/7/2019 at approximately 2300 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Graham Street for a call of an assault. Police made a report for burglary of a habitation.
On 9/8/2019 at 1600 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 2900 Blk. of Hemphill St. in reference to a domestic disturbance. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.
On September 8th, 2019 at approximately 1720 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 800 block of Brook Hollow Lane in reference to a Hit and Run. A report was generated for this incident.
