Join the staff at Lake Brownwood State Park for their second annual holiday at the lake on Saturday, December 14th. Visitors can bring camping gear and decorations for a competition for the best decorated campsite. The winner will have their camping fees waived for the evening. Winners of the contest will be announced starting at 7 p.m. at the Group Recreation Hall.
For visitors and overnight guests, at 7 p.m. there will be a campfire talk with a park ranger and Santa will make an appearance. Kids can decorate sugar cookies provided by the Friends of Lake Brownwood. Hot chocolate will also be provided.
Normal park entry fees apply: $4/ person, kids 13 and under are free. Call the park office for applicable fees and reservations. (325) 784-5223.
