Brownwood News – The Arts Council of Brownwood will host the 2019 Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Friday, May 3rd from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the streets of downtown Brownwood. The outdoor fiesta will include food and craft vendors, an area for dancing, free games, piñatas, activities for children, and several contests for adults. There will also be an art exhibit in The Vault.
Free performances in the Lyric Theatre will feature Austin’s Mariachi El Romance and México 2000 Ballet Folklórico, presented by the Law Office of Natalia Lopez. There will also be live performances by A.M.P (art.music.people) in Pat Coursey Park and demonstrations in the streets by several local organizations, including the Matachines de Sta. Maria Reina de la Paz.
