The rabbit show was held Wednesday afternoon at the 2017 Brown County Youth Fair with breeding rabbits judged at 3:00 p.m. and finishing up with the market rabbits.

Hank Darden, an American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) judge from Hitchcock, Texas, educated participants and the audience with tips on how to show and care for rabbits and basics about the particular breeds being shown. Darden is also a champion breeder raising Netherland Dwarf rabbits for many years throughout the nation. He is the past president of the Netherland Dwarf Association and an ARBA registrar.

Grand and Reserve Champions were chosen for both Meat and Breeding categories. Junior and Senior Showmanship Awards were also presented.
