The annual Pass and Review for the JROTC camp at Howard Payne was held on Friday, June 10th.
JROTC Cadet Staff Leadership Course Camp attended by participants ages 14-18 and the JROTC Cadet Leadership Camp for participants ages 14-16 was held last week. These cadets attending were from more than 40 high schools across the state of Texas.The purpose of Cadet Command and Staff School (CCSS) is to provide an executive level Summer Leadership School (SLS) for Air Force JROTC programs across the state of Texas, with the mission of developing the attending cadets into leaders capable of running their respective corps or programs. This is done through an extensive, week-long program with a focus in academics, personal development, and team building.
At the end of the week, a ceremonial Pass and Review is held, after cadets the week-long camp of classes and activities geared to military service. Officers, family and friends as well as VFW and Auxiliary members were present for the ceremony.
