Steady rain most of the day Friday didn’t dampen spirits as the 2013 Brownwood Reunion Celebration kicked off and the rain began to ease as the festivities got underway offering food, fun and music.
Day 1 of the Brownwood Reunion featured music headliners Everclear with some of their classic rock songs from the ‘80’s and ‘90’s with opening acts Downtown Mile and Mike Stanley Band.
Several competitions were also kicked off Friday including the Photo Contest and the popular Hands on a House competition.Other key attractions starting on opening day included the midway carnival, Classic Car Show in the Brownwood Coliseum, face painters, the Kids Zone, Magician David Hira, bubble runners, bungee trampoline, rock climbing wall, “exaggerated view” caricatures, and much more. Food and merchandise vendors also set up shop for the weekend.
Festivities continue Saturday and Sunday with even more competitions, attractions, food, merchandise and music. Visit CelebrateBrownwood.com for the full schedule.
