The 61st annual Brown County Youth Fair market goat division kicked off events on Friday.
The show began at 8:00 AM and finished up in the early afternoon. The judge for the goat division was Chase McFall of Ozona. McFall is the county extension agent for Crockett County and is a graduate of Texas Tech.
Of the show, McFall stated that the competition in both animals and exhibitors was high.
“This has been an excellent set of goats from top to bottom. There’s real competition here and even some of the animals in the back of the barn will be competition at some of the major shows,” said McFall while judging the champion drive. “These are a great set of kids (exhibitors).”
