Thursday morning, the community gathered to honor and celebrate Veterans’ Day with the annual parade that began at the Brownwood Coliseum, traveled through downtown Brownwood, and ended near the Depot with a Veterans’ Day service held in the Stuart and Margaret Coleman Plaza at the Depot.
Many local Military organizations participated in the parade by showcasing local veterans and showing support for those who have served.
Although area schools were in session during the holiday, several elementary campuses took time out to bring the students to watch the parade and honor the veterans.
The Early High School and Howard Payne Marching bands helped set the tone for the parade by playing patriotic music.
