The Military & Family Support Group is beginning their annual Letters from Home Community Christmas Box Project. Each year this group collects cards of support and items for families of military to distribute to their active duty serviceman/servicewoman who are registered for the project.
Joyce Leidig from the Military & Family Support Group says, “We do Christmas Boxes to all active duty Military for those deployed and those stationed in the states.” The group encourages the public to participate by donating cards of encouragement and items for the military that will help them where they are stationed. This project supports all branches of the military no matter where they are located.
The Military & Family Support Group also maintains the Wall of Heroes at the Brown County Courthouse to honor those who serve and have connections to the local area.
Those who have a family member serving in the military and are interested in the Letters from Home Community Christmas Box project or the Wall of Heroes can view & download the form here.
