District Attorney, Micheal Murray reported that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.
Jeannie Rebecca Monk pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Twenty (20) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case. Further, Monk, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, was adjudicated and sentenced to Twenty (20) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Francisco Abel Escobedo, Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to Twelve (12) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Escobedo pled guilty to the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to Ten (10) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Also, Escobedo pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Two (2) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
Brandi Leighann Bruton, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone, was adjudicated and sentenced to Eight (8) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Clayton Owen Batchelor, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault, was revoked and sentenced to Eight (8) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Fernando Benabidez, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to Six (6) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Joseph William Wilder pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to (5) Years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
