Thirty-two golfers will take over two local country clubs and tee off at dawn on June 11th, 2012. They will complete 100 holes of golf in one day! Most importantly, they will be part of an exciting event that will raise money to meet the growing needs of operating the Family Services Center in Brownwood.
To raise the money, each golfer has agreed to raise $1,000 by getting monetary pledges for each hole of golf they complete. The more pledges, the more money, the more families served at Family Services Center. The funds raised will be used to strengthen individuals, children, and families through professional counseling, education, supportive services and collaboration. With the growing needs of serving seven counties and continued cut backs in local and state funding, Family Services Center needs help.
Family Services Center is asking for pledges for the golfers listed below. All you have to do is choose one or more to sponsor, call them or Family Services Center, and sign up for the amount you want to pledge. The suggested amount is $1.00 per hole ($100 total), but you can pledge more or less than that. You may want to pledge money to someone you know on the list, or you may want to make a pledge for several of them. If you prefer, Family Services can randomly assign your pledge to someone for you. The main thing is to give your support to FSC to help build successful families through their relevant and successful programs.
The 32 golfers are: Carene Baslee, Von Bates, Tommy Blevins, Bob Boatright, Don Bostic, Terry Brown, Mike Bullard, Sharon Cook, Aaron Diaz, Tom Ditmore, Al Dostal, Digger Diamond Electric, Jill Evans, Stephen Haynes, Rick Hullum, Ross Neal Elliot Electric Supply, Marisha Parvis, Kim Peterson, Rhonda Pipkin, Robert Porter, Tammy Robinson, Barry Rose, Jamison Russell, Michael Sider, Norman Tinkler, Belinda Touhakis, Carl Wayne, Dion White, J.R. Williams, Dave Olhausen, David O’Neal and Max Yates.
