CABCOurStoriesForHisGloryCoggin Avenue Baptist Church will be offering a 1 – Day Ladies Conference, “Our Stories for His Glory,” on Saturday, November 6. The conference cost is $5.00 per person and includes a catered lunch.  The price is non-refundable, but it is transferable.

We have the benefit of reading the ending of the stories of Bible characters.  We skip ahead and find the outcome they did not have the luxury of knowing at the time.  They may not have realized the privilege and certainly didn’t know the eternal impact they would make.  How could they have known that their names would go down in God’s Word to encourage us millennia later?  At the time they chose to yield to their divine intervention, it was completely by faith in God.

Like these holy heroes, each person has an outcome he or she can’t make out.  The fog of life’s journey can clog spiritual sight, and the fear of the unknown is bound to make one consider bowing out. However, in future generations, that story may be the one that encourages someone else to follow hard after God.  Have you ever considered that just as the Bible stories encourage us along the way, your personal story will encourage someone else?

“Our Stories for His Glory” is a day to celebrate the personal journeys of several ordinary women and the extraordinary working of God in their lives. Some of their stories were born out of tragedy and suffering while others were birthed from being obedient to a holy God. All of their stories offer help, healing, and hope, and although their stories are not finished, today, they are walking in victory.

Breakout Sessions include:

  1. The Journey from Infertility to Adoption and Beyond: A Love Story presented by Kathy Allen
  2. I Choose to Love My Son Through Drugs and Prison presented by Patricia Boland
  3. Raising Godly Children in an Ungodly World – How Is That Possible? Presented by Tami Hull and Tracie Carrier
  4. I Am Alive Because of Prayer – A Personal Journey Through Breast Cancer presented by Peggy Duvall
  5. Obstacles to Obedience  = Bountiful Blessings: One family’s journey that led to home schooling presented by Monica Edmondson
  6. The Phone Call That Changed My Life: My Oldest Daughter Dead at Age 20 presented by Kathy Edwards
  7. Our Joy Turned to Mourning; God is Turning our Mourning into Peace presented by Jennifer Garcia
  8. Great is His Faithfulness presented by Mitzi Lehrer
  9. I Thought We Had the Perfect Family presented by Kathy Petitt
  10. In the Wash: Breaking Free of Abuse and Self-Indulgent Behaviors presented by Jodi Wooldridge

Each one of us has a story. Whether we walk in victory depends on how we allow our story to unfold. Correctly viewing and appreciating God’s awesomeness and His love will compel us to realize the distinct privilege of being in a relationship with Him and being used by Him.

This is a great event to encourage women of all ages. Will you join us to help nurture hearts, fill souls and share the “Stories” God wants every woman to hear?
